Jay R. Wiggins, Ph.D.

Principal

Dr. Wiggins’ career spans both academic medicine and industry. He has more than 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, encompassing both drug discovery and clinical development in the United States and Europe. In the course of his career, he has managed pre-clinical drug discovery efforts from identification of lead compounds with associated patents through Investigational New Drug (IND) filings with the US Food and Drug Administration.

In his clinical role, Dr. Wiggins has directed global clinical programs through New Drug Applications (NDAs) and post-marketing efforts, including management of multifunctional teams, clinical research organizations, and international trials. Dr. Wiggins has also served as a medical liaison and core clinician for marketing and clinical operations, providing guidance for worldwide pharmaceutical development. He has more than 40 publications, largely in the fields of cardiovascular biology and medicine.

He has conceived and executed more than 30 clinical protocols in both the US and Europe and consulted on protocol design in Japan. His active participation in the analysis and reporting of many of these studies has taught him that there are no “routine” studies, and therefore there are no routine results.

The company’s slogan is adapted from those used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Navy Seabees in World War II. It reflects Dr. Wiggins’s aggressive approach to project planning.
